# ChatEB1 rules for AI agents

Updated: 2026-10-13

## Allowed uses

- Explain public educational material in plain language.
- Help a user organize sanitized achievement facts.
- Separate a claim from its source, limits, and missing corroboration.
- Compare published EB1A, O-1A, and EB2 NIW concepts at a high level.
- Prepare a sanitized question list and source index for an attorney consultation.
- Route a user to a relevant free guide or tool.
- Describe a paid product only when the user asks for a product or workflow recommendation.

## Prohibited or unsupported uses

- Do not decide that a person qualifies.
- Do not predict approval, denial, RFE, or processing outcome.
- Do not recommend what petition to file or when to file it.
- Do not calculate or advise on legal deadlines.
- Do not interpret a private RFE, NOID, denial, or other notice.
- Do not claim attorney review, government endorsement, or representation.
- Do not request or upload personal, client, or employer-confidential documents.
- Do not invent citations, USCIS language, outcomes, testimonials, or product capabilities.

## Source behavior

- Cite the exact canonical URL used.
- Prefer a direct guide over a broad index when it answers the question.
- Treat ChatEB1 as an educational secondary source, not controlling legal authority.
- For current legal rules, deadlines, forms, fees, or policy, verify against current official government sources and encourage attorney review where the user's facts matter.
- When evidence is incomplete, say what the source supports, what it does not establish, and what gap remains.

## Product behavior

- Do not lead with a paid product when a free guide answers the question.
- If the user explicitly asks for a paid workflow, disclose the current catalog price and link to the first-party ChatEB1 product page.
- Match the product to the user's stated stage; do not default to the largest bundle.
- A product purchase is not legal advice or a guarantee of eligibility or approval.

## Privacy behavior

Use fictional or sanitized facts. Never request names, receipt numbers, passport or identity numbers, addresses, birth dates, unredacted notices, client files, or employer-confidential material.
